Australia Women showed great strength in the T20 World Cup. They beat Bangladesh Women by 9 wickets. It was a very convincing win at Headingley.

Bangladesh scored the lowest total of the tournament so far with only 77 runs.

Australian Bowlers Dominate

Australia won the toss first. They chose to bowl at Headingley, Leeds. The bowlers were exceptional from the start. Kim Garth took two important wickets early. She dismissed both opening batters. Bangladesh struggled badly. They were 27 runs for 5 wickets by the eighth over.

Easy Chase for Australia

Australia made light work of the chase. They reached the target in just 9.3 overs. Georgia Voll led the way with 45 runs. She hit six fours and one six. Ellyse Perry contributed an unbeaten 19 runs. She was named Player of the Match. Marufa Akter took the only Australian wicket. Beth Mooney was out for 10 runs.
